Spansion (Spansion Inc.) is the world's largest high-tech multinational enterprise dedicated to the development, production, and marketing of flash memory, offering the richest and most comprehensive range of flash memory products in the market. It was established in 2003 through the merger of AMD and Fujitsu’s respective flash memory businesses, inheriting a long history of technological innovation and market leadership from both companies. As of now, Spansion has approximately 8,500 employees worldwide. All of Spansion's business operations, supported by its authorized distributors, revolve around the integrated electronics market. Spansion’s products are primarily used in communications, automotive, networking, and consumer electronics applications, with a leading global market share in NOR flash memory. In December 2005, Spansion completed its spin-off and successfully went public on the NASDAQ.
